Europe Travel Gear

The List of Europe Travel Gear we are taking with us to Europe for the summer, watch the list grow, or see what gets left behind!

BACKPACKS

We all know this is our home while traveling, so picking something that will work, and make the journey there and back is very important. We put about 4 weeks of research into this, and read pretty much every blog about what backpacks and gear to take. But they are really just guidelines, because everyone is going to pack a little different, I know we are! Our biggest struggle is to find a backpack that can hold the must have items, but still makes carry-on requirements for the planes & trains.

Tyler picked out the Marmot Apollo 35L

Pro’s & Con’s: Built in rain cover and hide away compartment. Has the full side load, like a suitcase style. Very nice to see everything laid out in the bag

Melissa choose the North Face Terra 40L

Pro’s & Con’s: It’s top & bottom load only, so you must know where everything is in your back to save you time. The top has the bigger items, bottom has smaller heavier items (This is where the cubes come in handy) Great shoulder straps with lots of padding, not as much back ventilation as Tyler’s. No built in rain cover. Bladder holder (for paper items).
